Lake Billy Chinook – 11/28/2025
What a day on the water! Once we finally got going, the kokanee action was fast and furious. Poulsen Cascade Tackle Arrow Flash dodgers paired with an orange pearl Twirlee-Gig were absolutely on fire. The bite was so hot we didn’t even have time to rig a second rod—nine fish in about an hour! To round out the limit, we switched over to an orange LURED dodger with an orange and gold spinner, and the fish kept coming.
Now, the morning didn’t exactly start smoothly… both batteries were dead, and the boat refused to start. Luckily, a quick jump got the kicker running. No electronics, though—I had forgotten to shut off the Mega Live 2. Turns out, we didn’t need it anyway. The kokanee were stacked so thick you could’ve caught them with your eyes closed!
