Wickiup Reservoir 4-22-2025
It was a fantastic day at Wickiup
Reservoir. The weather started out chilly in the mid-20s, but the fishing began slowly and then really picked up, with doubles and triples being caught. It was pretty exciting at times! The usual colors worked well—pinks and oranges for spinners, while Hoochies produced similar results. We maintained a speed of about 1.2 mph, but with so many boats on the water, our speed occasionally increased to 1.8 mph to maneuver around them. I even caught fish while going 1.8 mph—it was a fun experience! In total, we landed 26 kokanee average was around 15-17″ and caught a bonus rainbow trout. The weather was perfect; there was a light breeze, but it was not bothersome. We fished until around noon
