After six solid months of testing the new LURED Fingerlings at Lake Billy Chinook, I can say without hesitation—they flat-out produce. We’ve been consistently putting up big numbers on every trip, with limits coming easily and days in the 20-, 30-, even 40-fish range becoming the norm. It’s been one of those rare runs where doubles and triples aren’t exciting anymore—they’re expected.
The standout color has easily been Blue Balls, but honestly, all four current patterns are getting it done. It’s All Pink on the Inside, Cotton Candy, and Bloody Decks have all proven themselves, with the pink tones especially shining in a variety of conditions. As a bonus, we’ve even hooked into some quality bull trout while running these setups, which speaks to how effective they really are.
A big part of the success comes from that 3/4″ willow leaf blade. The amount of flash, vibration, and thump it puts off is unreal—it’s drawing fish in and triggering aggressive strikes nonstop. Pair that with the Lured Dodgers and it’s just a lethal setup.
At this point, we’ve caught so many fish on these that I’ve honestly lost count. When something works this consistently across changing conditions, it’s worth paying attention to.
Dave Bales of Full Throttle Bugs is flat-out an artist. The color combinations he’s putting together aren’t just good—they’re next level, and they’re clearly designed to catch fish.
With four killer colors already available and more on the way soon, these are definitely something you want in your spread.
